Cabinet Type and Interior Layout
Garage cabinets, utility cabinets, pantry-style units and freestanding storage towers use different shelf, drawer and door arrangements. Review the final configuration before the case is tightened so fixed dividers and rails end up on the correct side.
Build the Carcass Square
Side panels, top, bottom and back should form a square cabinet before doors or drawers are adjusted. If the back panel is installed while the case is racked, later hinge adjustments may never make both doors sit evenly.
Doors, Hinges and Drawers
Hinges need the correct cup or plate position, and drawer slides need matching left/right orientation. Check reveal gaps and smooth travel before loading the cabinet. Soft-close hardware should engage without forcing the door or drawer out of alignment.
Freestanding vs Wall-Secured Storage
Tall storage cabinets may include anti-tip straps or wall brackets. The wall surface must be known before anchoring. Cabinets intended to be permanently integrated into a kitchen or built-in run belong closer to kitchen cabinet installation or custom carpentry than ordinary freestanding assembly.
Garage and Utility Conditions
A garage floor may slope toward the door, while a basement floor may have localized unevenness. Adjustable feet can handle small variation if the cabinet is designed for them, but they should not be used to hide major base problems.
What to Provide
Call (223) 226-1828 with the model, cabinet count, wall/floor photos and whether anchoring is required. This helps separate flat-pack assembly from built-in or wall-mounted storage work. For several freestanding household pieces alongside the cabinet, list the mixed-item request under furniture assembly.
For a project with several products, use assembly and installation services and list each item separately.
