Desk Format and Orientation
Straight desks, L-shaped workcenters, executive desks and sit-stand frames assemble differently. Decide the left/right return orientation and final wall position before joining long panels; reversing an L-desk after full assembly may require substantial disassembly.
Frame, Top and Drawer Components
Support frames should be square before tops are fastened. Pedestals, drawers and keyboard trays need correct slide orientation and clearance. If the desk includes modesty panels or cable channels, install them in the sequence shown by the manual so they do not block later fasteners.
Power and Cable Management
Some workcenters include factory power strips, grommets or wire trays. Those components can be assembled and routed to existing outlets as designed. New receptacles, concealed wiring or hardwired power remain separate electrical scope.
Room Access and Final Placement
Large workcenters can be difficult to rotate through a doorway after the return is attached. Assemble in the final room when possible and confirm chair clearance, drawer travel and access to wall outlets before pushing the desk against the wall.
For several workstations or a broader workplace package, office furniture assembly may better match the request.
Wall Anchoring and Overhead Units
Hutches or tall upper cabinets may require wall restraint. The anchor choice depends on framing or masonry behind the finish. NJ-GoodHome does not treat a heavy wall-mounted storage system as ordinary desk assembly without checking support conditions.

Within a desk & workcenter assembly request, assembly & installation and ab machine assembly stay separate paths when either issue expands beyond this page’s scope.
