Base Frame and Uprights
Start with the base and main upright sections on a protected, level surface. Large fasteners should be started before final tightening so the frame can settle into alignment. If the upright is forced into position, later pedal or arm linkages may not track evenly.
Pedal Arms and Moving Joints
Ellipticals use pivots, rollers and connecting arms that must be installed in the correct order. Spacers and washers can control side-to-side movement, so they should not be treated as leftover hardware. Moving joints should travel freely before decorative covers hide them.
Console Wiring and Sensors
Console cables often pass through uprights and can be pinched if sections are joined carelessly. Connectors should seat without forcing. Basic assembly can connect factory wiring; diagnosis of failed electronics or new electrical supply is a different scope.
Footprint and Stride Clearance
Measure the full moving envelope, not only the base. Pedals and arms extend beyond the static frame during use. Ceiling height can matter for taller users because the pedals elevate the standing position.
A mixed workout-room project may fit fitness equipment assembly and installation.
Leveling and Final Check
Adjust levelers so all feet bear on the floor and the machine does not rock. Call NJ-GoodHome at (223) 226-1828 with the model, room dimensions and access route for elliptical or cross-trainer assembly.
Within a elliptical & cross-trainer assembly request, assembly & installation and ab machine assembly stay separate paths when either issue expands beyond this page’s scope.
