Cart, Firebox and Cooking Chamber
Start with the base or cart and confirm it sits square before mounting the firebox or cooking chamber. Doors, shelves and side tables should move freely before the unit is loaded with grates, burners or accessories. Heavy lids and chambers are easier to install when the frame is already stable.
Burners, Baffles and Internal Components
Gas grills may include burners, heat shields and igniters; smokers may use baffles, racks or firebox connections. Follow the product diagram for orientation. Do not interchange parts simply because they fit the same screw pattern.
Fuel Connections Are a Separate Decision
Assembly can prepare the grill or smoker for its intended fuel system, but gas connection, leak testing or new gas piping can require qualified scope. NJ-GoodHome does not claim licensed gas work without verified credentials. Electric smokers should use an existing suitable outlet rather than improvised wiring. If an electric model needs a new power point, discuss electrical outlet installation and replacement as separate qualified work.
Final Outdoor Position
Leave the clearances required by the manufacturer around siding, railings, walls and overhead materials. Confirm the deck, patio or slab is stable and reasonably level. If the outdoor surface itself needs construction, use patio construction or the relevant primary page instead of folding it into grill assembly.
Wheels, Leveling and Mobility
Caster brakes, adjustable feet and handles should be installed before the unit is loaded. A grill intended to roll should move without twisting the frame or dragging a fuel hose.
