Confirm the Product
True linoleum and products casually called “linoleum” are not always the same material. Share the manufacturer and installation instructions so adhesive, acclimation and seam requirements come from the actual floor covering.
Subfloor Smoothness
Dips, ridges, old adhesive and damaged underlayment can show through resilient sheet goods. Preparation may include patching or underlayment work before the visible floor is installed. Floor leveling is a separate primary service when the base needs broader correction.
Sheet Layout and Seams
Room shape determines whether seams are needed and where they should fall. Seams are better kept away from obvious high-traffic or wet transitions when the product allows. Cuts around cabinets, door jambs and fixtures require accurate templates.
Edges and Transitions
Baseboards, thresholds and adjacent flooring heights should be considered before final cuts. For other resilient products, see vinyl flooring installation and repair.
Call NJ-GoodHome at (223) 226-1828 with product type, approximate area and photos of the current floor/subfloor.
For linoleum flooring installation & repair, flooring remains the separate route when that adjacent need becomes the main customer task.
