Table Size and Walking Clearances
A dining room that looks large when empty can feel tight once chairs are pulled out. Table dimensions, traffic paths and door openings should be considered before adding built-ins or changing wall locations.
Connection to the Kitchen
Openings between dining and kitchen spaces can affect serving flow and sightlines. Changing an opening may involve framing/structural questions that must be evaluated before assuming a wall can simply be removed.
Lighting Over the Table
Pendant/chandelier location should align with the intended table position, not only the center of the ceiling. Moving electrical points is qualification-dependent work and should be scoped separately.
Storage and Finish Details
Built-in cabinets, wainscoting and trim can add storage or architectural detail. See Custom Built-Ins and Wainscoting Installation & Repair.
