Sliding, Pivot or Panel System
Framed sliders, semi-frameless doors and fixed panels use different tracks and wall brackets. The tub rim must provide the bearing/sealing surface expected by the product. Share the exact enclosure before drilling locations are planned.
Wall Plumb and Opening Size
Out-of-plumb walls can reduce the adjustment range and create uneven gaps. Measure width at more than one height. Tile, fiberglass panels and other wall materials need appropriate anchors and careful drilling.
Water Sealing Without Blocking Drainage
Sealant belongs where the manufacturer specifies it. Some tracks intentionally drain toward the tub, so sealing every visible gap can trap water. Existing wall/tub waterproofing problems are separate from door installation.
