Drop-In, Undermount or Farmhouse Sink
Drop-in sinks bear on the countertop rim; undermount sinks need reliable support below; farmhouse/apron sinks often require cabinet modification and precise height relative to the countertop. Identify the type before assuming a simple swap.
Existing Cutout and Countertop Material
A replacement sink may not match the old opening. Enlarging or changing a stone/solid-surface cutout can be specialist work. Countertop condition should be evaluated before the old sink is removed.
Drain, Faucet and Disposal Connections
Existing supply/drain locations, faucet holes and garbage disposal configuration affect fit. New plumbing runs are not automatically included. A disposal-specific problem can route to Garbage Disposal Installation & Repair.
