Equipment Type Determines Disassembly
Treadmills, ellipticals, home gyms and racks break down differently. Some components remain heavy even after removal of consoles or uprights. Manuals and product diagrams can help identify approved disassembly points.
Measure the Route Before Taking It Apart
Doorways, stairs, turns, elevators and ceiling height should be checked at both locations. The smallest opening often determines how much disassembly is necessary.
Protect Cables and Adjustments
Console cables, resistance cables, guide rods and adjustment hardware should be labeled/secured rather than pulled or bent during the move. Reassembly should restore fastener torque/sequence from the manual where available.
For repair rather than moving, see Fitness Equipment Repair. New-product assembly belongs to Fitness Equipment Assembly & Installation.
Call (223) 226-1828 with model, approximate weight if known and stair/access photos.
For fitness equipment relocation, repair & maintenance remains the separate route when that adjacent need becomes the main customer task.
