Joint, Hardware or Surface Problem
A loose chair joint, broken drawer slide and damaged finish are different repairs. Identify whether the problem affects structure/function or only appearance. Upholstery, fine antique restoration and specialized refinishing may require different expertise.
Flat-Pack and Modular Furniture
Loose cam fittings, missing fasteners or damaged panels can sometimes be corrected when parts are available. Manufacturer-specific panels may be difficult to replace. Do not force stripped connectors into weakened particleboard.
Doors and Drawers
Hinges, slides and alignment can often be adjusted or replaced if mounting material is sound. Broken cabinet/furniture panels may require reinforcement or part replacement rather than repeated screw tightening.
For new-item assembly, see Furniture Assembly. Surface-only finish work can route to Furniture Painting & Staining.

For furniture repair, repair & maintenance remains the separate route when that adjacent need becomes the main customer task.
