Single Piece or Gallery Layout
One centered artwork needs a reference to furniture, wall width or sightline. A gallery wall needs spacing and alignment across several frames. Lay out the grouping before drilling so the composition can be adjusted without leaving unnecessary holes.
Weight and Hanging Hardware
Light frames may use small hooks; heavier art can require anchors or direct fastening to framing. Confirm the hardware attached to the artwork and whether the manufacturer specifies two points, a cleat or another system.
Drywall, Plaster and Masonry Walls
Each substrate accepts fasteners differently. Older plaster can crack when drilled incorrectly, while masonry needs compatible bits and anchors. The visible wall finish alone does not identify the support behind it.
Height and Visual Relationships
Placement should relate to room use, nearby furniture and other art rather than one universal height. Stair walls and tall spaces need additional access planning.
If the request involves shelves rather than artwork, shelving installation owns the load-bearing storage intent.
