Prefabricated System vs Home Addition
A manufactured enclosure installed on a prepared patio or deck follows a product system. A site-built conditioned room tied into the home’s structure is a sunroom addition and belongs in the primary additions architecture. Define that boundary before design details are discussed.
Existing Base and House Connection
Prefabricated walls and roof panels need a level, dimensionally accurate base and a suitable connection to the building where applicable. Existing slabs or decks should be evaluated for dimensions and condition rather than assumed compatible.
Panels, Doors and Weather Sealing
Glass/polycarbonate panels, door units and roof sections rely on square frames and intact gaskets/seal details. Installation sequence matters because forcing panels can create persistent door or water-management problems.
Utilities and Conditioning
Electrical, heating/cooling or plumbing additions are separate qualification-dependent work. This page does not promise a four-season room merely because an enclosure is installed.
For a screened rather than glazed enclosure, use screen room and screenhouse installation.

For sunroom & solarium installation, exterior & outdoor remains the separate route when that adjacent need becomes the main customer task.
