Debris and Flow Problems
Leaves, roof granules and organic debris can block outlets and downspouts. Cleaning should include checking whether water can leave the gutter after debris is removed. A clean gutter can still overflow if the pitch is wrong or the downspout is obstructed.
Loose Hangers, Seams and End Caps
Sagging often points to failed or spaced-out hangers. Drips can come from seams, end caps or penetrations. Small repairs should address the specific joint or attachment rather than sealing every visible line with excess caulk.
Downspouts and Discharge
Water should reach a location where it can drain away from the building. Crushed elbows, separated joints and poor discharge locations can make the gutter appear to fail even when the trough itself is clear.
If the system needs complete new runs rather than maintenance, use gutter installation. If screens or covers are the main goal, see gutter guard installation.
