Existing Gutters Come First
Guards do not correct loose hangers, poor pitch, leaking seams or blocked downspouts. Those conditions should be repaired before the cover is installed. Otherwise the guard can hide a drainage problem rather than solve it.
Screen, Micro-Mesh and Cover Styles
Different products manage leaves, needles and roof runoff differently. Some clip to the front lip, some fasten to the gutter and others interact with the roof edge. Product instructions and compatibility matter more than a one-size-fits-all fastening method.
Roof Edge and Water Entry
Work near shingles and drip edges should preserve existing drainage details. A guard that changes how water enters the gutter can create overshoot during heavy rain if the product and roof geometry are a poor match.
Cleaning/repair needs are covered under gutter cleaning and repair. Full replacement belongs to gutter installation.
What to Provide
Call (223) 226-1828 with the guard product if already selected, gutter type, roof height and clear photos of the roof edge.
For gutter guard installation, exterior & outdoor remains the separate route when that adjacent need becomes the main customer task.
