Replacement Cover Fit
Measure the spa shell rather than relying only on an old cover that may have stretched or deformed. Corner radius, hinge/fold direction and cabinet shape affect fit. A cover that is too large can interfere with steps or lifters; one that is too small can leave the shell exposed.
Cover Lifter and Mounting
If a lifter is part of the project, confirm the mechanism and mounting points before drilling the cabinet. Side-mount, rear-mount and under-mount systems need different clearances. The lifter also needs space to move when the cover opens.
Straps, Locks and Hardware
Replacement straps should align with the new cover rather than forcing existing receivers to pull the cover off-center. Hardware condition matters on older cabinets, especially where previous holes have loosened.
This page does not cover spa electrical, plumbing or structural base work. For surround construction, use hot tub surround installation; for broader spa placement, see hot tub, spa and cold plunge installation.
Call (223) 226-1828 with spa/cover details and photos of the mounting sides.
For hot tub cover installation, exterior & outdoor remains the separate route when that adjacent need becomes the main customer task.
